Taking a break on Gabriola Island off BC coast with little intention of painting, I was up way too early one morning and got caught up in the lovely color on the rocks as the sun made its way through smoke filled skies. Well my companion was asleep still, as I should have been, so I grabbed my painting gear, set up and had a fulfilling 2 hours painting.
