As a child in Germany, I accumulated a treasure chest of remembered music from my mother and grandfather. I went on to take music lessons, and was admitted to Hanover Music School in Germany. I married and moved to Canada where I raised four children, and started my music career as a singer and a teacher through the singing teacher’s association . I built a reputation a strong singer in sacred music and theatrical productions. I also took up the violin.

I have played in string orchestras, duets and quartets in Vancouver and Victoria all my adult life. Two of my children and my grandson, who I feel have surpassed me in skill level, are 5th generation music graduates on my mother’s side.
I have reached the age of 93 and live in a Senior’s residence. I am part of a trio called AKA (comprised of voice, violin and piano). To this day, I continue to play for pleasure with a quartet. I also perform frequently with my trio in the great hall at Ross Place.
